These Terms and Conditions apply to appointments booked with Brain Centre. By booking an appointment and, where applicable, paying a deposit, you agree to these terms.
Appointments
Appointment times are reserved specifically for you. Please arrive on time for your appointment. If you arrive late, we may need to shorten your appointment or reschedule it to avoid delaying other clients.
Appointment Deposits
Some appointments require a deposit at the time of booking.
Where a deposit is required:
- your appointment is not confirmed until the required deposit has been paid;
- the deposit will be applied towards the fee for your appointment; and
- any remaining balance is payable at the time of your appointment unless otherwise agreed.
The amount of the required deposit will be disclosed to you before payment.
Cancellations and Rescheduling
We understand that circumstances change. If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment for which a deposit has been paid, you must provide at least 48 hours’ notice before the scheduled appointment time.
Where at least 48 hours’ notice is provided, your deposit may be:
- transferred to a rescheduled appointment; or
- refunded on request.
If you cancel or reschedule with less than 48 hours’ notice, or do not attend your appointment, your deposit will ordinarily be forfeited.
This policy reflects the time that has been reserved for your appointment and the difficulty of offering that appointment to another person at short notice.
We may, at our discretion, waive or vary the cancellation policy where exceptional circumstances have prevented you from attending or providing the required notice.
Cancellation by Brain Centre
If Brain Centre needs to cancel or reschedule your appointment, you may choose to transfer your deposit to another appointment or receive a full refund of the deposit.
Fees and Payment
Our current appointment fees are available on our website or will be provided to you when booking.
Unless otherwise agreed, payment of any outstanding appointment fee is required on the day services are provided.
Private health insurance rebates, Medicare benefits or other third-party payments, where applicable, are the responsibility of the client. We cannot guarantee that any particular service will be eligible for a rebate or benefit.
Clinical Services
Information provided on the Brain Centre website is general information only and is not a substitute for individual assessment or advice.
Recommendations regarding assessment, care or management are made according to the circumstances of the individual client. No particular clinical outcome can be guaranteed.
You are responsible for providing information that is accurate and relevant to your care and for advising us of significant changes to that information.
Privacy
Personal and health information collected by Brain Centre is handled in accordance with applicable Australian privacy and health records requirements and our Privacy Policy.
Information may be collected where reasonably necessary to arrange appointments, provide services, process payments, communicate with you and meet our professional or legal obligations.
Website Information
We take reasonable care to ensure information published on our website is accurate and current. However, information may change from time to time and we do not warrant that all website content will always be complete or current.
Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in these Terms and Conditions excludes, restricts or modifies any right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, restricted or modified, including rights available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Changes to these Terms
Brain Centre may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The terms applying to an appointment will be those made available to you at the time the appointment is booked.
